What is Simpli5?
Simpli5 are a clear aligner braces system that is used to treat mild orthodontic issues. They are very similar to Invisalign braces in that they are clear, “invisible” aligners that are removable.
The main difference with Simpli5 braces is that for each arch that is being treated only five aligners are worn over the course of treatment. So if patients need upper and lower orthodontic treatment then a series of ten aligners will be needed over the course of treatment.
How do they work?
After an impression is made of the teeth, the clear aligners are then custom made so that they fit perfectly onto the teeth. Each set of aligners will be worn for three to four weeks at a time, and each set of aligners work to move the teeth into place before starting the next set of aligners. These again will be worn for the same length of time and so on until treatment is complete.
We advise patients to wear the aligners for at least 20 hours each day, only removing them to eat, drink and to clean teeth.

Simpli5 aligners are a great alternative to fixed braces and as they work for mainly minor issues such as orthodontic relapses, minor misalignments and after extensive braces treatment to fully align the teeth. They work quickly and effectively without anyone knowing they are being worn, as they are almost invisible.
